Happy Birthday to my Love

Aaron turned 24 on October 16th. I met him 5 years ago... and my life was turned upside down. What an amazing man he was, is, and continually strives to be. He is an incredible husband, more than I could have ever asked for or dreamed of... and I know he will be the best daddy in the whole world.

I am continually in awe of God's grace to me in giving me such a gift as Aaron. My greatest desire is that I honor the Lord in my relationship to my husband. He is the most important person on this Earth to me. Happy Birthday... may there be many more to come. I love you husby.

Baby stuff...

Well I'm not making promises about keeping up to date anymore... it just isn't gonna happen! & then you all can be surprised when it does!! =) We've been busy busy around here getting ready for baby. Only 7 more weeks to go until Analynne's due date! YIKES!

Here is a cute little hat that I knitted... my brother in law thinks it's hilarious (not a good hilarious)... but I think she's gonna be stinking cute!! And matching booties! (I just finished the 2nd one.) This yarn was given to me by my grandma!

These are the first booties I knitted. Little red Christmas ones, for my little Christmas present!
My grandma came up a few weekends ago to help me paint the ugly green room PINK (of course!) We had to paint the entire room... it was YUCK before. Now it's a pretty pale pink with white trim and ceiling! Still need to get a new light cover thingy bobber. (whatever that's called).
I also got to spend a weekend with my mom and grandma, picking fabrics for bedding and for covering my new rocking chair! Here they are working hard while I watch! Ha ha...
Wa La! Toile covered glider and ottoman! It's a beauty... Thanks Mom & Grandma! (Or should I say Grandma & GG?!!)
These are the fabrics for the bedding "Grandma" is gonna make (my mom!). Sticking with good old black & white.... with some pretty pinks! I can't wait to see the finished product!
Analynne had her first baby shower on Oct 10th in my hometown, LaCrosse. My sister flew up from California to be there! It was so much fun, and I brought many amazing gifts home. I am so blessed to be from such a supportive and family-like community! My sister and grandma then came up to Bellingham and surprised me with my crib!! They put it all together for me! Isn't it beautiful!?! After that weekend I feel MUCH more prepared for little Analynne's arrival.

Nursery is almost ready! At least the necessities... a good rocker in front of a great view!
So needless to say... it is now hard to ignore the fact that we have a little girly on the way when you see a pink room basically right when you walk into our home! I find myself staring into the room sometimes... many changes about to come!

So thankful for the journey God has placed Aaron & I on. It is humbling to see how far He has brought us in just over 2 years of marriage, and encouraging to look back on His blessings, and His constant provision! We are praising Jesus for this opportunity to be parents, and seek to honor Him in how we love and raise our baby girl.

Keith Urban/John Mayer @ The Gorge

My parents bought Aaron and I tickets to come see Keith Urban & John Mayer at the Gorge a few weekends ago. They are probably two of Aaron's favorite artists (mine too) and we had a great time. If you haven't been to the Gorge, it's a beautiful place! Behind the stage, is a cliff that overlooks the Columbia River.

We arrived very very early to get good seats, and it was a beautiful day. It started out really hot & sunny, and cooled off to be a perfect evening! It's getting darker, the show is about to start!

This is my beautiful mommy!

And so the shredding begins...

Aaron would make little squeaky noises.... as he was utterly shocked & in awe of these two amazing guitar players! I almost enjoyed his reactions more than the show!

I decided to capture the moment. Ha ha.

They were so good together! What a fun show.

We were so thankful to be able to spend some time with my family, and enjoy some great music too! Thank you Mom & Dad for an extra special weekend!

*I know we won't be able to do much of this sort of stuff next summer... although, Analynne will DEFINITELY be an Urban & Mayer fan!!*

It's a GIRL! -- All-Comer's Track Meet -- CA Wedding -- Seafair -- Family Camping -- WA Wedding -- Cannon Beach

So this is what I get for not blogging weekly! I promise I will work on it. Here is what we've been up to for the last 5 weeks.!!

At 20 weeks Aaron and I were able to find out the gender of our baby and we held a little party. Basically all of our family members came up to our cabin for a BBQ. We had a cake specially made with EITHER pink or blue frosting in the middle. Nobody knew (not even us) except the baker! Here is the video of us cutting the cake =)

We are so excited to meet our princess, Analynne.

This is just a cute picture of my little nephews and my pup. I love them!
The next evening we took Brady to the All-Comer's track meet. Aaron and his family grew up going, and I'm excited to take our kids someday! I think Aaron still holds a record of some sort, from when he was like 8! So cute. They let kids of all ages come and compete throughout the summer. They even have a ribbon for everyone after they have completed an event. Brady is definitely a competitive little guy and I had so much fun watching and cheering him on!

Here is the track star himself, looking ready to compete!!

First event was the hurdles! How cute is that!? Brady had to check em out with Poppi. He would run fast, then slow down and just step over them. So SO cute!
A little more confidence! Look at that determination! GO BRADY!
Little brother Clark being a good cheerer! Ha ha...
Poppi had to begin each race with Brady, holding hands. He was a little shy & nervous.
By the time they got close to the finish line, Brady would let go and leave Poppi in the dust!
Brady also gave the Javelin a try. He was not feeling the long jump, however. Maybe next year!
When all his events were done, he decided to have a race of his own. We each had our turn of running back and forth across the turf racing Brady. That boy has endless energy!! Clark wanted in on the fun and loved riding on top of Poppi's shoulders!

He's a little red, but not even close to being tuckered out!! The Orange Medal is what he wears whenever he runs. It is Poppi's half-marathon medal from last year. Brady loves to be like Poppi... and he always says, "Poppi run SO FAST!"

Then...
off to California for a wedding! We decided to leave a day early and try to get to the Coast. We waited to jet over to the coast until CA and it seemed like forever! All in all it was a fun adventure, but one we'll never do again! Ha ha. We tried to stop and see the Giant Redwoods. There was a little hike, but apparently "walking isn't free." Boo! The drive was LONG and windy. (not wind-y but wined-y? how in the world do u spell it?) ha ha... anyway... we were very exhausted. As you can tell, frustrated that we haven't seen water yet! GRR.

FINALLY! We had to get out and celebrate... we did NOT care that it was cold and foggy. It was the coast. =)
We decided to find a hotel in the nearest town, which was a little ways further and not really that big! It was Fort Bragg. We got the hotel closest to the water, which apparently was the best deal too! The guy at the front desk supposedly "made a deal" with Aaron! It was really nice and this is the view after you just walk a little ways toward the water! There was a little trail to get down to the beach.
We enjoyed the little bit of time we got to see the coast.
I liked the trees there!!
Then we took off for Wil Pearce's wedding. Aaron was a groomsmen and he was really excited to be a part of it. He knew all the other groomsmen - they were all really good friends from CA. It was such a fun reunion. He got to walk the isle with the Groom's beautiful sister, Molly. *You may remember me talking about the Pearce's a while back. We stayed with their family when we went down for Graduation! Wil & Molly both were in the music program at Master's with Aaron and we all went to Israel together.

Ok so then we got back, and had tickets to the Seattle Sea Fair the next weekend. It rained all day and was BORING! ha ha. Oh well. Something free to do!
THEN we drove over to spend a couple days with my family at the Cheif Timothy Park in Clarkston, WA. These were a gift from some of my mom's friends to have at "grandma's house." I love them! ha ha!
Aaron and I got to go tubing for the first time in a couple years. It was really fun =) This is my little broski, Darcy on the left, and Aaron on the right. I'm so thankful that my family loves my husband!
Analynne and I went tubing too! But very nicely don't worry. I just couldn't resist!!
Then two days after I got back we sang at Luke & Leisha's wedding! Their wedding was beautiful and we were so honored to be a part of their big day. The reception was held at a beautiful home out in Birch Bay overlooking the sound. These are our new Bellingham friends that the Lord has so sovereignly brought into our lives this past year! We love them.

FINALLY... the next weekend we were off to Cannon Beach, OR. Aaron's family is going to start making it a tradition I think! It was fun. Nice enough to walk around and enjoy the scenary, but not too hot! We had a really well needed relaxing time!

Here is our family photo! 23 weeks. My belly just seems to be getting bigger by the day! Currently 25 weeks and having fun planning showers, nursery, etc!
Sorry for the EXTREMELY long post! Hope you enjoyed... I'll try to keep them more regular so they don't pile up on me! Thanks for visiting!
